Arnaud Vasseux was born in 1969 in Lyon. He obtained a DNSAP from the Paris school of fine arts in 1993 and began to exhibit in 1991. He has been teaching volume and sculpture at the school of fine arts of Nîmes since 2006. His work is presented regularly by a number of galleries, institutions and art centres in France and abroad: the Istres centre for art, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Marseille, the 19 Regional Centre for Contemporary Art in Montbéliard, the Vasarely foundation in Aix-en-Provence, the FRAC Languedoc-Roussillon à Montpellier...
A first monograph dedicated to his work was published by the CRAC in Montbéliard, with a second monograph appearing in 2011, published by éditions Analogues. Recently, he took over the future centre for art in Amily and the Agart gallery by participating in the “Décomposition” exhibition, curated by Sylvie Turpin. The Kerguéhennec domain will host a solo exhibition by the artist in March 2013.
